Maui or BUST!!!

So we made it through our travel day safe and sound. We left our house at about 10am, and the day ended when we checked into our hotel room at midnight Maui time, which is 3am Victoria time. Needless to say, it was a loooong day. But considering Emma only slept about 3 hours in all that time (she snoozed for half the plane ride) we did okay. I think Emma is going to be a traveller.

It wasn't Emma's first ferry ride, but she didn't know that, and she was crazy for it. She loved looking at EVERYTHING, and was especially excited when she found the play are on the upper deck. After the ferry it was a quick stop at IKEA (we had time to kill- really!!), and the on to airport where we stood it lots and lots of lines, but made it through unscathed. Like I mentioned, Emma slept only half the plane ride, but she was really good the other half, so it turned out fine.

Didn't see too much because it was so dark when we arrived, but I did sneak down to the beach, which was amazing under a blanket of stars....and now here I sit blogging....my Mommy alarm must have kicked in, because 8am Vic time (5am here)had my eyes popping open and I am wide awake...it is now just about 7am here and Emma is awake too...I think we will wake up Chris, get dressed and check out the beach in the daylight before breakfast.

Plan for the rest of the day? BEACH, BEACH, BEACH!!!! And Mommy wants a drink.
