I wish you a Merry Christmas.

This week has been a busy one: Em's last week of school before holidays, shopping, wrapping, crazy busy work, cooking, cleaning the house for holiday guests, and cramming in some Christmas activities for spice. And now the madness is really going to hit. We're having Chris' family to the house on Christmas Eve, and will be spending Christmas morning with Emma, and the evening clutched to the insane bosom of my clan.
But I am pretty sure I am ready, and am actually getting excited. Emma is excited about Christmas like never before, and Chris and I have the next two weeks off work so we can just enjoy it all.
Now I just need to pick up some mix to go with my JD, and I will be set.

We spent one evening at Veteran's Memorial Park, in beloved Langford, and were treated to a firetruck parade, hot dogs, crafts for the kids, and a visit from Santa during which he read the kids a story. Emma especially loved the hot chocolate and running around the park at night.

We also attended Emma's first Christmas concert. It was awesome. It was hard to get a good picture of her on stage, as there was quite the crowd of preschoolers, but she was dressed as a cow, and was easily the best of the group ;)

Emma and Ethan attended a preschoolers Christmas party at Juan de Fuca, where they did crafts, ran around, and got a visit from Santa. Here they are at the cookie decorating station.

Then Emma spent yesterday at a Christmas brunch at the Union Club with her Papa and Geegee. She was all dressed up and adorable. She had a great time at the party, where she ate lots and got another visit with Santa. Plus she posed for me like a little model...telling me she was "pretending" different emotions.

What have you learned by reading this post?? That Emma has a very full calender, and Santa is everywhere she goes!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!!
