Yo!

It's time for a post!! Yaaaayyyy!!!! We're doing just fine here at Chateau Deedee, and hope you are feeling fine too. How are ya doing by the way??
Okay, so last week something nutty happened: A large construction truck ran over my lawn and knocked over my baby tree!! Although, as it turns out, this part of my yard is actually "boulevard" and belongs to the city of Langford, so they got to do all the fun of dealing with the bad driver and getting everything fixed.
We have been spending LOTS of time outside when we're home. The weather is getting nicer, and Emma has made friends with the kids across the street. On Sunday Emma was outside playing from 11am to 7pm - no joke! I had to drag her in the house twice: lunch, and dinner. It's amazing how the kids busy themselves and don't tire out. Me? I cleaned out my car, read a magazine, and even had a little nap (Chris was on outside duty for that part of the day). I am thinking I may have to start doing some gardening or something to keep me busy while I am on watch.

We have also had an unexpected opportunity - We're going to Disneyland!!! We leave June 7th.

I end this blog on a personal note. As you have likely heard, my team (the only good one) the Vancouver Canucks, have ended their season and have not made the playoffs this year. That's got me a little sad, but I can deal. What I can't deal with however is the very strong possibility that my man Trevor Linden has played his last game. While I started watching hockey because I thought Pavel Bure was hot (silly, young Deedee - tsk.), it was the fantastic magic woven by Trev that has kept me a fan all these years. We had our dark years - when he was traded away (and I didn't watch) - but he has always been the true captain of the team (thank god they brought him back!).

I know there are haters out there (Grandma Walters - you're dead to me), those who say he's too old, and blah blah.....but honestly I can't imagine watching my team and not seeing him. It makes my tummy feel yucky.

So I implore you - my pals - to please send some good ju ju out to the universe for me....I need ONE MORE YEAR....also, if any of you know Dave Nonis, please feel free to give him a call and have a chat about what an asset Trev's leadership is.....

OR...you can just follow this link and sign the petition: http://www.petitiononline.com/1073/petition.html

That's all folks - Peace!

I signed the petition! Even though I haven't really watched a game sine the stanley cup playoffs finals in the 90's - I agree that Trevor rocks!
