I love reading vampires. Especially vampires in love!
Also anything paranormal/romance/funnyish/chick lit.
That's what I am reading these days, and I had the urge to share some of the series I have on the go - I am pretty anal about them, and I make lists keeping track of when the next releases are coming out.
After you take a look at mine, you should recommend some of yours - I am always looking for more to read!
So the most obvious example of vampire love is Twilight....Edward and Bella's story is so delicious. I am planning on finishing up the book I am currently reading and re-reading this series, just to taste it again.
Have you ever seen/heard of that HBO show Trueblood?? Well, The Sookie Stackhose series by Charlaine Harris are the books that show is based on. And while the show is good, the books are better. Trust.
The series revolves around a telepathic Louisiana waitress, Sookie Stackhouse...and she knows a vampire or two.

This series has a wee bit of everything...dragons, fairies, vamps, and humans too...
"Meet the D'Artigo Sisters--three half human, half-Fae, wild and sexy members of the OIA--the Otherworld Intelligence Agency. Camille, a witch, Delilah, a werecat, and Menolly, an acrobat extraordinaire turned vampire, are sent Earthside to keep them out of trouble by their superiors, who consider the girls nothing but a bunch of bumbling half-breeds. But the girls soon find themselves smack in the middle of Demon-Central when Shadow Wing, the leader of the Subterranean Realms, decides to attempt a coup on both Earth and Otherworld."
A little darker fare...
"Part human, part otherworldly, the Breed has lived among humankind for thousands of years, maintaining a tentative peace built on secrecy, power, and the dark justice carried out by the formidable warriors of the Order."
Much darker fare...
"The Black Dagger Brotherhood is an erotic paranormal romance series by author J.R. Ward. The series focuses on six vampire brothers and warriors who live together and defend their race against Lessers, de-souled humans who threaten their kind."
The newest series I have been devouring is the Aisling Gray series by Katie MacAllister - it's really fun, though with only 4 books there looks like there may not be any more - there are spin-offs though! (Which are on my list!)
"...a sexy, humorous paranormal thriller series featuring Aisling Grey, an apprentice Guardian, and her sometimes boyfriend, sometimes foe Drake Vireo, wyvern (leader) of one of the four dragon septs."
Lastly, I leave you with Glory. She's the most user-friendly of the bunch. And she's a size 12, just like me, which I like. Not all vamps are skinny!!
"What-did you think all vamps were pale, thin and brooding? Don''t I wish." Plus-sized vampire Glory St. Claire has a new business venture and an old, on-off boyfriend. Blade wants to protect her from the techno-freak vampire hunter stalking the streets of Austin, but it's time for Glory to explore her own powers.
So there. I shared! Thanks for reading!
