Bright Lights, Big City.

So tomorrow we're packing up Miss Em and heading off to Vancouver for a long weekend. Though it will not be all fun and games: Chris will be spending the weekend writing his big acupuncture exam, while Emma and I will be having some special Mommy-Emma time visiting places like the zoo and the aquarium. It will be nice actually, during our day-to-day lives we're always busy, so I will enjoy just chillin' with my girl.

But here's my favorite part: On Monday Chris' Mom will be joining us for the day, and will be returning to the island with Emma in tow. That's the time that Mommy gets to let loose and have fun, and see her favorite hockey team in action (you may have guessed by the pic). You have no idea how much I am looking forward to this: I have NEVER been away from Emma for an entire night, and quite frankly, I NEED a break!! So even though it will be less than 24 hours I am giddy that I will be able to spend some time NOT tending to the every need of another human being. I just want to sit down and read a book! After the game of course!

So to those I know and love living in Van - Please take no offence to me not calling or seeing you while I am there. This just isn't one of those trips. But if all goes well I may be able to leave Em more and visit again soon!

First off that is Trevor Linden, who is one hot looking man. So thank you for that because it made my morning.

Second, I hope you have a wonderful time. You deserve the break because you are a FABULOUS mother!! Enjoy the space, drink some booze and watch those hot hockey players! I wish I was there with you...trust me.

I'll miss you guys but have fun...and remember...I have a big head. You know, in case you're getting me a hat...say a white one...with the canucks symbol...maybe my ponytail could go through it. Or you know, whatever!

BYE!!!
