Okay, I am finally posting something.

It's 7am, and I am awake. On a usual day I would have been awake for over an hour already, getting up early to feed/dress myself before I wake Em at 7 to get her up and ready for school. Not today though. Emma has the sniffles, combined with a touch of fever, so I decided to keep her home today. I thought I would sleep in a little, but my body had other ideas, and I was awake before 6:30. Don't you hate when that happens?

Just as well. I needed to update the blog.

I went and saw the Canucks intra-squad game last Sunday. Canucks playing Canucks? How can you go wrong!? Ha! There was some insane carnage out there on the ice, as the boys got a little frisky and bashed each other around. By the end of the game 3 players were out - including the goalie Luongo, who took a puck to the throat (see picture of him down and out on the ice). He's okay now.

Then finally, after nearly 6 weeks of waiting my apartment was finished!! We were able to move back in on Tuesday, and it's so fantastic. We have new kitchen floor, newcarpet through the whole apartment, and Chris' and Emma's rooms have been painted the same color as the rest of the place. It looks so good we almost wish we weren't moving in a month (no new news on that yet btw).

My new kitchen floor:

Emma's room - no longer purple, and sporting new carpet.

Yesterday Emma and I went to her cousin Michael's birthday party, and had lots of fun. Michael is now 2, and they had a great craft for the kids - they made little bird houses.

Emma, crafting.

The birthday boy.Party!!
It is now about 7:30 am, and I hear Emma stirring. Time to fly. I promise I more interesting post for you next time. We should have all the new house details finalized by this time next week, so maybe I will be posting good news.
