my next post will be from disneyland.

I am trying not to think about the huge "to do" lists I have, waiting for me to start prepping for our trip. Nor how busy we have been the past few weeks. There seems to be something going on every day, and there has not been a day of rest. I have to try to have some early nights this week though, as I have a feeling that a week in Disneyland with an almost 4 year old is not going to be a restful situation!! I am super excited though.

Here's some things that have been going on in the meantime:

I can't wait to get Emma down to Cali where I can bust out all the summer clothes - she's got some cute ones! Exhibit A:
On the long weekend, Grandma and I took Riley and Emma to the new indoor play place here in Langford. It's great. And they're just finishing up a mini golf and water park connected to it. Have I mentioned I love where I live?

Last weekend was my nephew Jacob's 2nd birthday, and there was a party. Yay! He's a pic of Jacob in an Emma headlock in the bouncy castle.

And just a cute one of Emma and her Grandpa.

Okay, so remember that Canucks bedroom of mine? Well, it's undergone a bit of a transformation. It's now Emma's room. (I do believe she was laying on the floor having a bit of a temper when I took this pic) Emma wanted to keep the life size Roberto on the wall, but Mommy wanted to keep it. So we compromised, and she got to have the large Canucks symbol.

We decided to combine Emma's bedroom and playroom into one, and it is working out much better all around. She has more space to play, and everything is in one place. The other rooms have become our bedroom, and the office, and that's working out great too.

Now, these days a family function for me consists of various siblings, their mates, and their offspring. It's always a zoo. But for the first half of my life my family was only 4 people. Me, Mom, Shauna and Serena. And family functions threw in a few more people, my Mom's brothers and parents - the Carnegie's. Yesterday we had a BBQ with only us, and it was really nice. There are more of us now, thanks to more mating and offspring-making, but that's cool.

My Mom. With a sticker on her nose.

Serena, showing off her new tattoo. I am slightly jealous.

Me! I am so sassy!

Uncle Blair and Emma making music.

Uncle Ben!

Shauna made some art.

We like to chat.

My Mom and her little brother.

Uncle Blair and his little Lexi.

Blair's fiance Amber (Lexi's Mama) gave Emma a pack of stickers, and Emma sat and played "sticker store", giving stickers out. Hence, how Grandma got a sticker on her nose.

Grandpa playing music! The best ever music!

Great Grandma with baby Lexi.

Good times were had. Unfortunately Nana wasn't able to make it - I missed you Nana!!

Okay, now I better get to those lists.

Hi Dee,
I forget sometimes in the chaos of ALL the PEOPLES, that originally it was only us 4 against the world. A mom couldn't have had 4 better companions for the journey.

Dam! For a small group we all turned out okay....and you will notice we are slowly taking over the world....mmmwaaahaha

..Okay, obviously math challenged here. Make that "3" companions...or I could pretend I had an invisible friend...oh wait, I do! Make that "4" companions.
