Wednesday was the release of the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic book - a new comic series that is being called the "eighth season", and picks up where the series ended. It is written by the original creator of the Buffy television series, Joss Whedon, who is a total TV God.
I finally sat down to read it today, and I am happy as a clam...though just like the television show before this I felt it was too short and I have to wait too long for the next episode. Possibly the best $3.56 I have ever spent.
I plan to purchase and save all issues of this series...not because I am a nerd (though I admit I am a little) but because I plan to introduce Emma to the wonder of the Buffyverse one day, and I know she will love it and dive right into the comics after she finishes all the seasons on DVD (which I am collecting). Well, she will if she has any taste anyway!!
Now if only Joss would give Angel the same treatment. I have hope.
